History Optinova was established by the Swedish fluoropolymer specialist company Habia Technofluor AB in 1971, as a production site for the Habia group. At the beginning, Optinova produced various types of tubing and cables from different fluoropolymers, mainly PTFE and FEP, for all types of applications. Our first contacts with the medial device field were already established from day one, since one of the first products was IV-catheter tubing for a large customer; a customer that still enjoys a good relationship with us today. In 1988, Optinova was bought by local investors and the focus on the medical device industry was strengthened. Today this is Optinova's single area of devotion. Since 1994 Optinova has been owned by Eriksson Capital Ab and Optima Scandianavia AB. History in brief | 1971 | Start of Optinova (as "Godby plast") in 650 m2 plant area.
