Development Manager, Optinova Innovation Center (OIC)

The Job

As a Development Manager at OIC, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our organization. You will lead a team of highly skilled Process, Polymer, and Lab Engineers, creating a positive and engaging work environment using the SLII leadership model and Agile working methods. Together with your team, you will shape the roadmap of your domain, with a focus on maximizing value creation. The people-development skills, continuous improvement will, and curiosity will be your key assets in this role.

As a member of the OIC management team, you will be deeply involved in discussions about technology, processes, and skills. Your responsiveness to the business, the market, and our customers’ needs will support OIC in developing efficient processes, services, and products.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A university education in engineering, industrial economics or other relevant area
  • Excellent leadership and people development training and experience
  • A good technical understanding of industrial product or service development
  • A proactive, committed, and quality-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to manage various stakeholders

Key Account Manager Medical Devices, Americas

Job Description

Responsible for developing and driving profitable long-term growth with key accounts in the Americas. The Key Account Manager will maximize profitable sales and customer satisfaction, selling all applicable Optinova products, solutions and services while balancing short- and long-term business goals.

Your role:

  • Develop and drive credible and productive long-term relations at the appropriate organizational levels and disciplines, in order to maximize the value (top- and bottom-line) of the short- & long-term business goals of Optinova.
  • Develop a good understanding of the customers (business model) and their and our applications to maximize business opportunities.
  • Develop, coordinate, implement and drive the account plan, including tailored value propositions.
  • Negotiate / generate agreement with the assigned accounts, coordinate and drive account, and Optinova promotion.
  • Responsible for the sales forecast at the assigned accounts.
  • Accountable for maximizing order intake, sales and price realization with the assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for systematically analyzing win & loss deals, expectations, customer satisfaction (NPS), market, competition and trends.
  • Realize internal and customer alignment.
  • Realize planned turnover, costs and profitability. Lead and drive other disciplines such as Project Management, Operations and Customer Service.
  • Works actively with Optinova operations, engineering, development, and management to represent customer viewpoint and work towards win-win strategies.

You’re the right fit if:

  • 10+ years’ experience in technical B2B sales (medical device sales experience a plus)
  • 5+ years’ experience in key account management in technical B2B sales (medical device sales experience a plus)
  • Strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to work in teams.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of high-level sales skills with growth maximization
  • Ability to network and influence key decision makers.
  • Effective communicator both written and oral with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office package and other business software systems i.e. ERP systems, etc.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • Fluent in English with strong attention to detail with the ability to work well both autonomously and within a group setting.

The OIC team works with customer development, equipment capacity, and R&D projects in an agile context, organized via our Project Management Office (PMO).

 As a Project Manager with us, you will work with running various types of projects linked to our operations and production. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and develop business cases and investment documents together with project groups and steering groups.

With your good communication and coordination skills, you create clarity and good cooperation with involved stakeholders from skilled engineers to customers. You work in a structured, proactive manner and prioritize well to meet project goals.   • Have a university education in engineering or industrial economics
  • Have an education or experience in project management and understand the need for structure and collaboration
  • Are very pro-active, commited and with an eye for quality, you simply get the best out of the project-team
  • Have good English skills

Meritorious is if you:

  • Have experience in running different types of projects, preferably in R&D, development or industrial operations
  • Have experience in leading projects globally, across different time-zones and cultures
  • Have experience in taking part of the business development initialization of projects, using your business accumen to ask the right questions when scoping a project
  • Have other language skills
